Source changing switch for an amp

I have been in the process of looking to do a DIY amp but I don't know much so I am starting off simple using the guts of a RS deal of the century amp.
Basically I would like to add a source switch and replace the front board controls with just a volume control/pot. And would it also be possible to create just a straight through to the amp source.
I have not been able to find any source switches or I am not looking for the right thing. And are there any other resisters or op amps needed to do this?

You can get decent source switches from Digi-Key for less than ten dollars. They can switch up to 6sources.And no op amps/buffers are needed. I will look up a part # for you later this evening if you like.Testing

If you don't already have one order a free 2200 page catalog from digi key.It is full of goodies for the DIY/modder.http://www.digikey.com/
The digi key part # for 2 possible switches are the Electroswitch 451-1028-ND $10.28
and the E-Switch EG1954-ND $6.16
Both are double pole with up to 6 positions.Testing
