Hey guys,
I'm new here and just joined the forum with the purchase of RM6750 speaker system. We'll, I'm not such a music buff, but would like to listen to decent music and movies. Though I've got my speakers, I'm still not sure which would be the best fit A/V receiver. I did see couple of threads mentioning Pioneer, Denon etc, but couldn't understand if they were for these set of speaker systems. Would be glad if someone could guide me to the right A/V receiver.
Thanks in advance,
regards,
Laxminarayan

The Rm series goes great with the Pioneer Elite vsx91txh. This also leaves you room if you decide to go with the rt series down the road.Dan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -

Welcome to the forum. As Mantis pointed out, IF you can afford it, get the most recvr. you can now.
Right now, you claim NOT to be a music buff. I was the same way 2 1/2 years ago.:D And I just dropped $600+ on 2 monoblocks:eek: And possibly another $800 on the Pioneer VSX-92TXH this wknd:oI refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE! -

I have a Harman Kardon AV 347 7.1....has all the bells and whistles...HDMI...optical...coax...etc. In two channel mode at 70 watts...it kicks. HK is selling these ridiculously low on EBAY in their outlet store. For an 800.00 they are going for about 300. I like mine....clean and powerful.

I would recommend a Denon AV Surround Receiver. I have had the Denon AVR-587 for a little over a year now. The performance is exceptional. Not to mention, it has every possible input and output you could imagine. For the price, it's definitely worth every cent I spent.

Thanks a lot guys, for those useful tips..
Currently out of those listed options, anything would be difficult to get it to India. Because not many of them ship it, and if they do, the price almost gets more than double before it reaches me
Currently in Hungary for some work, I did check some stores here and found the Pioneer AVR model VSX 917V-s. The guy quoted me something like 220 EUR. Just want to know if this goes well with the speakers mentioned earlier. I'm couple of days more here and based on your feedback would pick it up or leave it.
We'll currently I can spend around 500-600$, but this cost would be getting it home, after all the shipping and things like that. Please keep those suggestions flowing.
Thanks again and awaiting some feedback,
