Whats up people???
Today I get to Install the first Pioneer Elite sc09tx with a full 7 channel polk RTS inwall speaker package in a deadicated theater room. Currently this room is being ran with a Yamaha rxv3800 which holds the 4 ohm load but runs out of gas doing so. We also felt it sounded a bit bright. So after all considerations I choose the Sc09tx. There was no seperates avalible at the time(and there is now only 2 preamps) that can decode all new formats. His system is loaded with Blu Ray , HD DVD , DVD , Ipod , CD , XM , Sirus , Am FM , HD Cable , Both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 video games.
After Install today I will snap a few pic's and post results of the Monster flagship Pioneer Elite receiver. I'm pretty juiced to put it in.
Wish me luck,
Dan

Hey Dan, have a great time!
I'm sure that the guy who's getting the install has great confidence in you & what you're doing. Thanks again for all the help you've given to me!

Whats up,
I didn't get any shots of the new receiver. I ran out of time so I'll just post some older pic's of the theater when we first Installed it. These are not final Pic's. I'm sure we will go back for something. Damn I'm mad I didn't take any pic's today.
But the new Pioneer Elite sc09tx is a beast. It's 70 lbs and it's 9 1/2 tall. The new remote lights up in Blue which is cool if your going to use it. We have a mx3000 on site so it's not going to be used. The 94txh codes work the 09. Universal does not have the 09 codes on yet so Hdmi 5 and 6 have to be learned if used.
It really powered the RTs speakers well. The Detail was really good. So much better then the Yamaha. The Dynamic range was pretty damn good for a receiver. This isn't a regular receiver, so I expected it to do something.
We have a Martin Logan Depth in the front right corner, We could have used 2. It's fine but I had to push it alittle to thump the concrete floor. It did it's job like it always does but I think I may suggest another one.
The RTS speakers are finally getting some good current from the ICE amps. They ran cool even at +7 which is above reference. I wanted to see if it was going to clip out under extreme conditions. It held the load fine. This system is a full RTS 7.1 system so it should be a difficult challenge for any receiver that can hold a 4 ohm load. It didn't lose any dynamics even under this extreme test. I'm cool with that.
I also wanted to test this receiver for myself. DTS and DD HD sounded great.I want to bring one home and do a DVD to DVD battle to make it fair against my rotel seperates. Also do a 2 channel test. I ran music on it but RTS THX speakers are not Dynaudio. They are very good speakers but I didn't think they sounded anywhere near my Dyn's for 2 channel. Theater they would probably hold there own giving in to the last word in pure detail. My Dyn's have the ability to go really deep into the soundtrack. I ran Transformers before I did this Install and I think my system even running in only DD sounds better. I didn't think the RTS system outclassed it in any way but I gotta tell you, I'm really happy with the system. It's really nice.
Overall the customer is out of his mind happy. HE kept saying" this is better then the movies". The damn Sony LCD gun we used the 60 is purely fantastic and the very best under 10k gun I have ever Installed. I'm so Impressed with this gun. So damn clear. It actually looks better then some of our stand alone LCD flat panels. That says alot. Especially at 110 inches. Stunning.

That looks fantastic! Nice install and I like how clean it looks. Was there any interest in painting the speaker grills to match the walls?

I think so, these pic's wherew taken while the Install was still in progress. We custom cut the ceiling tile for the gun tube to fit perfectly. It looks trick now. They look good in white it matches the trim.
When we go back, I will take pic's of the final room. There is a Riser going in for the 2nd and 3rd row seating.Dan

This is true not to mention it weighs 70 lbs. it's a beast. It's really nice. The Pioneer Elite sc09tx is more like separates welded together.
I did however find out it doesn't pass Video over the Ipod. I thought it did. I used my Ipod 30g to try it out and the menu system still looks alot like the vsx94txh with alittle blue in it. it's slighty different but the same.
It has some damn punch to it. I like the Digital amps. The ICE amps pushed those RTS speakers well.Dan
