did you open it up and check the internal fuses too? sometimes there may be up to 4 internal fuses.. they can be tough to find inside the case... often well hidden.

also since you are getting warning lights.. check your speaker wires and swap out the interconnect cables to see if any of those may be bad. bad interconnects are what killed two fuses in my Adcom.

    Hello,
Find where the power cord comes into the chassis, then look on the inside and there should be an AC fuse. Of course, you've already unplugged the power cord, right?

The 555II has external rail fuses. None inside. There is no soft start resistor on these models. Where are you located?

To test the fuse you need an ohm meter. The stock fuses were not clear, and a visual inspection will not let you know if they are bad. Take all of the rail fuses out. I think they are about 6amps each, and install one of them in the main fuse holder then try to power up the amp. If it turns on install two 2amp fuse on one side of the amp. If it stays on remove those two fuses, and install them in the other side. This will let you know if one channel is bad. Also the use of the underrated fuses are much less likely to allow damage to the amp. I always use this procedure when I fist fire up an amp after working on it. Those rail fuses at stock amperage will allow damage before they actually blow. I know this for a fact. Shoot me a PM with results, or questions.

Standard warning always applies (if not obvious): MAKE SURE THAT THE AMP IS UNPLUGGED WHEN YOU ARE WORKING ON IT.
