Do you think that this turntable is as ugly as I do?

Always keeping an eye on things. I know this is something I want to do in the future but it is a fair amount down the road yet.

That twisted stylus may need a little help from the balance knob. The cartridge is gorgeous though the rest is FUGLY.

Uukin' Fugly! Not that I wouldn't mind hearing it, but..........

Focus not so good on the screen here I guess, even in the reflection. What IS up with the stylus? If it is ok, what's the point in the tilted design? I'd be interested to know.

The stylus isn't tilted. The cantilever extends out from the "X" structure and the stylus is oriented vertically at the end of the cantilever.

What's the reason for it? I can't think of a logical reason as to why they would manufacture something that way?.............at all???!!!???

    Uugin' Fugly aside, why? Sound?

I think the angle is an optical illusion-if you look at it just right it appears to come straight out-not out at an angle like one of the arms of the 'x'. I'd guess that if you looked at the 'x' straight on-the stylus would be pointed right at you.. There's a pic with a more side angle on that site.
