rt1000p power issues

I recently purchased a set of used RT1000P speakers. I have several questions about them I was hoping someone on this forum might be able to help me with.
1) I noticed the green power light on one of the speakers is not lit, and the subwoofer of that speaker does not appear to be working (the regular speaker is working, just not the sub). It is wired the same as the other speaker, which does appear to be working correctly. Before I take this to a store to have it inspected/repaired, I was wondering if anyone knew what the problem might be. I measured the current going to both speakers and it appears to be the same.
2) What is the proper way to wire these speakers to a stereo receiver? I noticed there are 4 wire jacks on the back of the speakers, plus some RCA inputs. Currently I have my speaker wires running from the stereo into the "speaker" inputs on the RT1000Ps, and nothing going to the subwoofer inputs or RCA inputs. On my working speaker this appears to work fine, but wasn't sure if this could be causing problems on the non-functioning speaker. Unfortunately, the seller did not have the manual that came with the speakers...
Any help you all can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I used to own them and congrads on your purchase.
First just for kicks make sure it's plugged in the wall and the outlet is not switched. Next check and make sure the "JUMPERS" are in both speakers. They connect the binding posts together. This is how you get speaker level to the sub and the top of the speaker. Make sure you turn the volume control up on the sub . I found about 9 to 10 oclock worked best and had the smoothest response without allowing the sub to overpower the speaker.
good luck,
