Well, after 16 hours, 1000+ miles, and 1000 bucks later, the Paradigm Signature Reference S8's have a new place to call home....and let me tell you, they are already singing despite my modest (temporary) rig. I have to sincerely thank 'Hawkeye' for inviting me to his home and his amazing hospitality and friendliness. Not to mention the killer deal of a lifetime. They sound absolutely incredible, and they had some big shoes to fill with the SDA 2.3TL's being replaced (moved). I guess the C5 is next on the list, followed by a better amp and maybe even a nice pre-amp soon. Thanks again Gordon (perhaps the nicest guy on the planet).

Looks like they have plenty of room to frolic. Should sound great. Looks pretty sweet too. Nice setup, and congrats.

What is that you have your center channel mounted with? I'm scrambling to try and find something.

It's a speaker wall mount I picked up at a hi-fi store in town. I'll look and see if I can find the vendor/model.

Those are gorgeous. Sweet setup, too. I think I was next in line for them, but I'm glad to see that they went to a good home. Please let us have a review if you get the chance. I've always love the Sig's ever since I heard a demo of them 3 years ago and I'm sure you will have a blast with them.

I just went on to Paradigm's web site and had a look at the other matching speakers for HT. WOW - If they sound 1/2 as good as they look.
I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on these. I remember listening to a pair of Paradigms years ago and almost bought them except I didn't like the bass. Too much for me. I cannot remember the model.

Congrats on your great new speakers! What A DEAL!!!!

I'd like to hear hear you comparison between these and the SDA 2.3's. Many of us own th 2.3's and would like to hear the differences that you hear, your likes, dislikes, etc. Bring on the cold hard facts, we can take it.

You picked-up a hell-of-nice pair of speaks. What a you driving them with? I had the Studio 60s a few years back and was driving them with a Yamaha RXV-2200. I thought I had enough power at 110W/channel, but they sucked up every bit and needed more. It wasn't unit I switched to separates that they really began to sing. Assuming you're using a HT receiver, do yourself a favor and set your sites on a powerful amp. If you want to stay in the same family, Paradigm's sister company, Anthem, has some great amps that would mate well. Keep us posted.

Yeah... I would have to say that's the greatest deal I've ever seen in this hobby.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Right now just a GFA-6000 Adcom with an Onkyo 705 receiver. All that will change over time. I used to have a very nice Audio Research solid state amp that I wish I never would have sold...oh well. I'm blown away by the sweet music these things produce. I've been an SDA lover for such a long time, but these beauties just make my 2.3TL's sound hollow. I'll try to post a better review when I get some better gear up in here, but I'll warn ahead of time, I'm not much of a reviewer.
