Polk LSi9 crossovers

Forum members - If anyone has an extra crossover for an LSi9, please let me know
I have a crossover with some damage on my LSi9s. If I were to order a new one from Polk, would it come with the 6 leads (1 +, 1 - for each driver) already soldered in and ready to re-insert into drivers? If it just comes with the board, I'm in trouble. I found out last night that my soldering is really terrible at best
Just FYI, I resoldered the part of the crossover that seemed to be damaged (separated from the board during a fall). It seemed to hold the coil as it should be. However, upon firing the speakers up, there was much more output from the good speaker, and it was much more clear than the one with the damaged crossover. The drivers seem to be in great shape on the damaged one, so I think if I get the crossover fixed/replaced, all will be well.

I would swap crossovers from cab to cab to make sure it is still a crossover, not driver problem.
What kind of solder are you using? I find the cheap stuff doesn't like to stick to anything. Pick up some WBT or Cardas, it'll help."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." To swap crossovers, do you unplug the 6 crossover leads (2 for each driver) from one speakers, and plug it in the other? I'm guessing it's a pretty easy thing, right?Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand

Yes, just keep track of what goes where.
Label them with tape, etc..."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche -
Okay, so I went ahead and ordered a new crossover. I didn't even get around to swapping them out. Unscrewing the back of each speaker, removing the crossovers, digging in to remove the 6 leads, remembering where they all went, swapping, and doing it all over again sounded like more than $50 worth of work.
So, hopefully this brings the damaged one back up to specs. If not, I will be selling a "slightly used" Lsi9 crossover here shortly
On the bright side, even with the $50, these were a deal (if they work correctly). And, with just the use of a black paint pen, I have them looking pretty respectable already as well. Just a scratch on the front corner, couple of rub marks on one ebony panel, a slight gouge on the back of the other ebony panel, and a scratch on the back. Regardless, great deal. Glad someone here got them.

Thanks for the heads up. Would've been gone already if I hadn't seen your post here.
I tried them out again yesterday with the "repaired" crossover. I could only hear sound from the tweeter, so I guess the crossover is the issue. If the other drivers were moving but distorted or looked damaged, I'd be more concerned. The $50 crossover should make them whole once more.
Again, thanks! Probably not much resale value in the damaged one, but a $400 working pair of Lsi9s ain't shabby. . . and they actually look pretty great after my touch-up work.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand

Thanks, that's what Ken S said as well. I've already felt around and marked what goes where, so install should be pretty simple.
If anyone has pointers on installing crossovers in Lsi9s, lemme know! I think as long as I get the wires in the right place and don't break anything pushing in the crossover, I should be good.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand

The LSi crossovers come complete with wiring. It's easy but the biggest problem I had with my LSi15 was getting the mid-bass drivers out. They stick pretty good and are difficult to get from the rear. I used a hooked dental pick to get in between the driver and the cabinet for some leverage. DO NOT insert anything between the outside edge of the driver and the cabinet.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I don't plan on taking any drivers out. I already know which wire connects to which driver, so I'm just going to do it by feel from the inside. the only bad part is that the speakers are so deep that it's kind of a reach.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand
