Yes, Vifa makes the tweeter for Polk, it is modded to Polk specs.

You can buy the 'standard' version from Parts Express for $60 each.

The Vifa's look like they would be able to fit into where my Tri-Lams are with my RT16's. Two questions:

    1. Can you just swap tweeters alone and be ok? or....

    2. Do you also have to replace the crossover for it to work properly?

If I can make the Tri's a lil more subtle (replace them), I'd be 100% happy with the 16's. Overall it's not a big problem with the brightness of them, but on the weekends when I'm treating my neighbors to the music I find enjoyable, I sometimes get too much from the tweets.........

On your receiver, turn the treble down to -1. I have found this very effective, and they sound better. If their still to bright. Lower the Treble to -2.

Brett, check with Ken @ Polk cs. Find the Vifa tweeter at partsexpress.com, and get the ohm rating (4 I believe), efficiency, and the resonant freq. Polk can then tell you if it's a match for your 16's. I don't believe its a 'drop in' match, but could be worked in with a simple in-line network mod.

    Cheers,
    Russ

Ps, anyone seen Hunter? (my number one fan)
