Well.... I got what was a pristine amp, until our friends at UPS decided to do some field modifications to it. It was packed quite well and for the life of me I cant imagine the abuse this package took while in transit. When I went to hook
things up, I noticed an rca jack was... gone! So I removed the top cover and found that all of the heat sinks were shifted to the left, one so much that it
pulled the rca jack back into the amp. All of the PC boards were bowing to
a point that they would eventually crack and all of the rca jacks were cocked
so that the interconnects were at an angle. This thing must have fallen from
35K feet to do this kind of damage. Absolutely no external damage. Let me
say again it was packed great.

Sorry to hear that it happened but thankfully all is well. It had to take a specific blow to that exact spot to do no other damage....that's unreal.

I'm not sure how difficult it is without having the amp in front of me, but I'd pop that channel module and check the solder joints on the rear. Then again, if it's working....

It will get hot and that's simply by design.

If there is any possibility you might file a claim with UPS, do not throw away any of the packaging, and preserve all evidence that you can. In my experience, UPS is very reluctant to honor their "insurance." Doesn't stop them from selling it left and right, though.

Certainly no fault on your part and all is well with this Adcom.
My son worked at UPS loading trucks and said it's a crazy place.
Lot and lots of womens make-up in the conveyor system and on the floor, even a dead
cat was shipped and came unpacked.

Since everything works I guess there is no need for a claim. Mostly just a hassle.

If you're happy with the end result, then so be it.

The package was insured for full value and there will be a process involved for a claim. I've filed a formal complaint either way.
