I have a set of rt600 speakers. the mids are always going bad. Is the a ongoing problem with this product:confused:

    In order to comment on your situation, please provide:

    1) amp/recvr make/model/specs

    2) program material

    3) source component(s)

    4) room size & shape

    5) volume level (spl in dB if you've got a meter)

    AFAIK, there are no known issues w/ the RT600 when set-up & driven properly.

    I bought a pair of RT600's when they came out still have them no problems. I would say it was something else in your system.
    TV: Philips 42" LCD 1080p
    Front Speakers: Polk Audio RT800i
    Center Speaker: Polk Audio CS1
    Surround Speakers: Polk Audio R50's powered of Denon AVR
    Subwoofer: Polk Audio DSW pro500
    AVR: Denon 3801
    DVD Player: Denon DVM 745 upscale 1080p
    Sat: Directtv HD 10
    Front Speakers Amp: Rotel RB 890
    Center Speaker amp: Rotel 970 BX

    They're solid speakers. My first set of polks....10 yrs later I'm still using then as surrounds with zero problems.

    Eventually I want to upgrade and timbre match my setup to include my rti8s, but after adding an amp and messing with the placement....it's not urgent.

    Check your setup.
