This is $40 I really need right now and don't feel totally responsible for but if it will make things right and you happy.

How is it not your responsibility? Aren't you the one that packaged them poorly? Wow...

I've shipped dozens of Polk drivers with only 1 issue, 4 years ago. It happens en route I guess but packaging is usually to blame. Some older members might recall that debacle with our loser from Canada.

Yes. It's the voice coil/pole piece being siezed against the driver magnet.

The point, which seems to continually escape your grasp, is that you, as the seller, are responsible for making the buyer whole, period.

In simple terms that means that you refund the money right away after being informed of the damage and then you, as the seller, deal with the shipping company to try to reclaim the money. And no, it doesn't matter if it was packed well or not, the responsibility to make things right with the buyer rests entirely on your shoulders, period.

There is no excuse, short of incarceration or death, for your dragging this on for 3 or 4 months. That's just ridiculous!

What about that do you fail to grasp?

Make it right. Right now, not later. [I realize you have issued a refund] How 'bout an apology?

I'm trying to make it right but with all the idiots going on saying things that I already addressed is getting to be to much. I don't know if a lot of you guys just don't read before posting or just want to be a pain.

All the comments about giving a refund AFTER I has said I would where just stupid.

I'm just disgusted with how people around here act when trying to fix things. IE the comments and BS AFTER I said I would give him a refund.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone around here said to give him a refund even after this post.

    Too funny.

If you thought your ship was sinking before your above post, think again. You just blew yourself out of the water.

    All,

    I have received a refund ($40 sans paypal's share, but it's ok).

Whateverer did apologize, and apology is accepted.

I sincerely thank you all for supporting me in this case.

Whateverer, I am honestly not sure whether I'd receive my refund if I hadn't made this whole deal public and you didn't have a peer pressure of Club Polk forum members.
Of course, you acted fast and open, but that happened after this thread was open and blown out of the water with comments. Until then, I haven't had any indication from you (and pm's are my proof) that you'd ever accept the fault and refund the money.

People on the forums like this are more or less closely knit community, who believe in honest transactions with other forum members. Over the last couple of years I've been on this forum I have seen several cases where forum members fixed the situation like this - no questions asked - even with new members.

I do understand that I am/was taking a risk dealing with members with low post count, but I do believe in honesty (and what the heck - my post count is not that high either).

Thanks again all for your support.

    E.T.

Probably figured the extra $1.20 wouldn't change anyone's opinion of him or the transaction at this point....

I have to say you are indeed full of excuses.
The original transaction was posted on 12/27, sold and paid on 12/28, and shipped on 12/29. You seemed to have the required skills to accomplish your mission of a sale then, and enough to sell and ship in a total of 3 days. Yet it took you what, about 4 months to rectify? As mentioned many times in the posts above, you should have found another way to come up with $40 net refund and been done with it. Address getting your money back on you're own.

How would you feel if you went to a local store and bought something, found that it was defective or broken when you got it home, and brought it back tot eh store to return it, and they said you would get your refund after they dealth with the manufacturer and got thier money back from them first? You would have expected them to deal with thqat on thier own, and refund your money right there. You also wouldn't expect them to provide you any excuses for any delays, such as they can't find the manufacturers mailing address to send it back to them, or that things sometimes break-or that its really not thier responsibility----the excusesit would be of no concern to you-you just want to get your money back and be done with it. I don't want to hear an excuse that store's have the extra money to handle that kind of return-you shouldn't have spent the money you recieved as payment until you were sure the buyer was satisfied.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

It's a shame that it had to come to this for the right thing to be done.

I think when it is this blatant, the offending seller should be permanantly banned from the flea market!

    Is that possible to do?
