BUYER BEWARE: "Whatever" - from Ohio

I bought two MW7011 drivers for my RT1000p speakers from this guy around Christmas last year.
The drivers were very poorly packaged (stuffed into a 'priority mail' box with some paper in-between). When the drivers arrived, one was completely locked up.
I immediately notified him of a failed driver. He has been feeding me excuses for more than three months now. He blamed everyone and everything including cross-border shipping and Canada.
I requested a refund for one (broken) speaker.
Last PM I received from him blatantly tells me that he does not have that much money ($40) to refund me.
I have all PMs archived in case mods what to take a look at them.
It's not even a matter of money, but a matter of principle, that product should arrive in 'as advertised' (in this case, fully working) condition, well packed.

You need to leave him the appropriate feedback to warn others. That's what it is there for.

Absolutely; you always take a chance buying from a seller with 30 posts and no feed back. It's too bad it didn't work out for you ViperZ and leave him feed back that reflects this. Whateverer just seems like bad news and endless excuses. -

They where shipped in a "Flat rate" USPS priority box, Both of them. At the time I believed they where sufficiently packed, Obviously they weren't. I do not however believe the packing was all to blame. These drivers have their magnates glued on and are prone to shifting.
I thought there was some coverage that you automatically get with international shipments. I tried to contact USPS about it but they wouldn't here it without the receipt number witch I didn't have and couldn't find because the label was printed with paypal. Looking here under "Insurance" it says under $100 there is no fee. I could not seam to get anyone to listen to me with USPS about it though.
Nice of you to chime in. But, it's your responsibility to make things right. You sold, packed, shipped the items and the buyer shouldn't have to put up with your excuses for 3 months. All the buyer did was send you the money and that's the only responsibility the buyer has.
If you don't have the money you could have been collecting cans for the last 3 months and probably made $40.
If you're not going to take responsibility then you have no business entering into a business transaction."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. BS, people ship raw drivers and speakers all the time, there is a way to do it correctly. Again not the buyers problem, it's yoursWhateverer wrote: »I thought there was some coverage that you automatically get with international shipments.
Should have made damn sure you had coverage before you sent them; again not the buyers responsibility, it's yours.Whateverer wrote: »I could not seam to get anyone to listen to me with USPS about it though.
Again not the buyers fault; make it right with the buyer and then get your compensation from USPS. Loosing a receipt; again is not the buyers fault if you lost the documentation to make a claim with the USPS, not the buyers fault it's yours.
Man up and make it right.

Simple fix, add a credit card to paypal, refund the $40 to Viperz either via hitting the refund button or if that doesn't work then send him $40+3% to cover the fees via paypal and deduct it off your credit card.
This problem could be resolved in a matter of about 30 seconds depending how fast of a typer you are and how fast you can click.
Deal with USPS on your own time. -

x2......And cmon....its not 400 dollars...its only 40 bucks. There are about 500 ways to come up with 40 bucks in a weeks time , much less 3 months time...the key is if you WANTED to.
I say give him one more week ( Since he chimmed in here ) for the money, then leave the appropriate feedback on our rating system. The first rule of Fight Club is you don't talk about Fight Club -
I sent a noob a pair of sl2000 tweeters packed in the RD0 boxes and shipping carton that came to me from Polk. Both tweets worked fine when they left here; buyer (non-participant except to buy the tweets) stated one didn't work. We had a few emails discussing what the issue could be and then I refunded his money and let him keep the tweeter.
Sometimes you win; sometimes you loose. But as the seller you have the burden of the responsibility. The buyer could have been bs'ing me, but I took care of the problem as he seemed genuine and never even asked for his money back; I volunteered.
Come on dude it's $40 refund the money."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Seems pretty stupid to completely eliminate your chances of ever selling another item again on this forum for $40.____________________________________________________________

Good grief.
Are those things worth $40.00 a piece?
I hope the $5.00 a piece I charged you for mine didn't hurt you.:D
But the way they should be there shortly. They went out last Thursday or Friday I think.
By the way: REFUND THE MANS MONEY!! -
Nicolas, understanding the sarcasm, I couldn't miss your pair at that price . Your drivers are newer than my original ones (and the working one from 'Whatever'), so I was going to use them and see if there will be any difference in sound.nikolas812 wrote: »Good grief.

Why give him another week? He has aready earned negative feedback. Even if he does make it right, it's been over four months. -

Dalton, you need to do what you need to do to make this transaction right. No more excuses. A negative feedback will still probably happen because of the length of time that has transpired and your apparent lack of concern for setting the transaction straight.
As for future sales by you? Why would we trust that we would be getting a properly packaged and working item? Based upon this transaction, we wouldn't. Since most members here don't like just giving their money away to a stranger for a defective product I don't foresee any more sales coming from your door. Not here at least.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -

You don't need his paypal address to issue a refund. Open up the old transaction and hit "REFUND". If you send him $40 then he will lose 3% to paypal fees. No need for that.Whateverer wrote: »I would appreciate it if you took my name out of the title.
Why? This thread is about you. If anything the title of the thread should be fixed from "Whatever" to "Whateverer" with your name being left as is. If you make things right, the thread will die and never be seen again other than when some drunk digs up a thread 5 years old. -

Well, WhatNever, here's what I like to call "Plan A":
1. Refund his $40 for the funky MW7011 driver .
Uh .... well, that's about it for "Plan A".
Doesn't matter how you get it to Viperz: Paypal refund, money order, Western Union, wagon train, or camel caravan. Get the $40 back.
Do that knowing that you're stilll going to get a negative feedback on this sale.
