    In the butt.
Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

I turn 'em on and listen. Some of my tube gear has a standby mode, so warm up is less critical.

I have a pre amp tube that flash's when I turn my amp on.

    whats this mean?

Every other tube comes on real slow and gradualy lights up.

Does it need to be replaced?

Some signal tubes do that, perfectly normal.

    OK.

I previously had a pair that did that from the time I got them.

But these have never done it and its only one and not the other.

    Still ok?

It sounds great by the way. So I am assuming it is nothing to worry about.

    But curious none the less.

Day three and I am in sonic bliss again. All of the sounds, background singers and instruments all come together with absolute precision. Bass is lickity split tight and the highs are just as fluid as I expect them to be and then some. Now I can get my rock on and listen the way I like to.

Sorry for the derail. Just following up on part of the conversation. Carry on.
