ps3 vs Samsung BD-UP5000

Any one know which one will give better sound and picture? I am not gamer so only need BR player.

    can't say I've seen PS3 (which I think would have great PQ), but I do own BD-UP5000. PQ is great, plays HD-DVD (not that you need it, but it is a nice feature to build your HD-DVD collection) and SD-DVD quality is marvelous...
    I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

    The Ps3 kills it dead everyday and twice on Sunday. I don't personally like that player. I have Installed a few and I'm not impressed. If you want one that does both then maybe it's ok, also you wouldn't know what was better unless you do a side by side compare.
