LSi25 vs LSi15 Amp Requirements

why is it that the 25's can take 300 watts max (rated) while the 15's are only rated at 250 watts? This in light of the fact that the 25's have a 10" woofer which is power by it's own amp AND taking into account that most people here appear (as I) to have decided that the 15 was better if paired with a nice sub. thoughts?

I know of no reason but both speakers would work very nicely with 300 watts of power. to much power is never a bad thing.Dan
