One last amp/watt question

I would even put a 100 watt external amp up against almost all of the "beast" 200w/chnl AVR's out there.
For the same money as the 905 you can get alot more.
for what it is worth (and, no, i dont own any lsi speakers). i currently have an adcom gfa-545 in my modest "a" system (which is stereo only, but that isnt the point). it is rated at "only" 100 wpc.
BUT
it literally blows receiver-power out of the proverbial water. i have an older (but high in the food chain back then) sony receiver rated @ 125wpc, as well as a nad 3155 integrated (rated at 55wpc)--- both of these have been used in the same room with the same speakers and same sources. now, the nad is no slouch, and in fact has little trouble stomping the 125wpc sony, even in its "dedicated" 2 channel mode  . but NEITHER ONE CAN TOUCH the adcom in sound quality, dynamics, and overall presentation. and frankly, the sony is beat by a long shot. all 3 play "loud", but it just isnt the same. and unfortunately, you probably wont believe us until you hear it for yourself. just a shame it is going to cost you so much more money to get there, if you ever do.
remember, only 100wpc rating on that adcom.
take what you will from that.

Currently have LSI 15's front, LSIC and LSI FX surrounds. I purchased a 3808 back in November and didn't take the 4 ohm impedance into account.
I currently have a 6.1 set up and will eventually go with 7.1 once I get an okay from my better half to give up the garage and build a dedicated HT.
I need a suggestion on an amp that I can team up with my 3808 and not break the bank. I've read in some forums that AVR's don't make good pre's so suggestions are welcome.
Thanks in advance.
What? You spent the time finding this thread...did you read it? The same question was asked in this very thread. -

I wouldn't have freakin asked about it if had read that in this post. I thought I would ask a simple questions since I didn't see the quote regarding what amp to use for my 3808.
No need to bite some body's head over guys.
If you don't want to answer then don't and leave it a that; no need for your sarcasm!! -

Thanks for the feed back.
I read in one of these forums that it would be better that I replace my 3808 with a pre and add an amp along with it.
Am thinking about pulling the trigger on an Emotiva.
This is reassuring to say the least. I sure as hell didn't want to start all over.
