Would there be any benefits in getting the blu-ray video adjustment disc? Does anyone have one?

If your television is calibrated properly in the first place, what's the advantage of using a BR disc to do it? It sounds like marketing to me but I haven't seen one yet.

    Link?

It's just another calibration disc, no different from DVE or Avia.

I thought that since it is blu-ray that it would calibrate clearer pq.

The only way to get a better picture than the disc is by having an ISF technician stop by. Otherwise, use the DVE or Avia.

Both DVE and Avia use rec. 601 color/tint patterns, not rec. 709 (which is standard for HD resolutions).

DVE and Avia will work fine for brightness/contrast/grayscale adjustments and color/tint adjustments if you set your player for a SD resolution output.

They will not work for color/tint adjustments using an HD resolution output (unless you can verify your player converts rec. 601 to rec. 709 when upconverting).

DVE gets you 98% there. Any better would require an ISF calibrator anyway. I did my 50" DLP this way, it looks great.

Depends on the display. With a DLP, you can get pretty good results with a calibration disc. But with other displays that have mechanical adjustments (sometimes you need more than just a screwdriver), like CRT projectors, a calibration is really necessary :)
