Hello all,
sorry to bother but here goes. I have an onkyo 805, lsi25 fronts, lsi15 rears, genesis towers sides, psw650 sub, and lsic center. The question I have is, the lsic's left speaker doesn't output the same as the right speaker. Is this normal? I have a backup CS2 center that seems to output the same from both midranges. I took the lsic to a repair shop and they said the left speaker is outputting however he indicated the left speaker is a mid range and the right is a woofer, therefore the output would depend on how I have the onkyo setup. Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks in advance.
Dennis

This has been covered many times on this forum, and the speaker is working as it was designed to. The crossover directs the appropriate frequencies to the correct driver for the job.

Look half way down the page, lots of links to get your read on. From Polk "Cascade tapered driver array provides wide horizontal dispersion so off-axis listeners hear clear, uncolored center dialog and effects."

Let's see if I learned anything thus far and take a crack at this-correct me if I am wrong (I am sure that goes without saying though huh? ;) )

I would say that assuming the speaker is in working order, The SR805 may be set to pass all frequencies below a certain frequency to the subwoofer. So I would imagine it really depends on what frequency that crossover setting is set to. You could try to change the setting of your center to Full Range and see if that makes a difference-Its not the recommended way to run full time (the sub should handle the lows) but it can help ease your mind about whether or not your speaker has a problem or not.

Just what comes to mind. :o
