Engtaz.....great purchase. I have a set of Platinums and their sound is breathtaking! Very open. I was worried about placement and the only place I had for them was upstairs in the loft. My A-framed sloped ceiling as well as placing the backs of the speakers toward the railing seems to have worked out perfectly......I guess I lucked out but this placement allowed them to be away from the side walls and gave them 30 feet of open space behind them. Made them sound beautiful...lots of breathing space!! I power mine with a Lightstar Reference 2.0 amp. ENJOY!!!
    Sell me your lightstar :D

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Sorry George -- I'm local and I'd love to grab those speakers, but they're too damn big. The WAF is sub-zero on these. I'd need to build my own 2-channel audio room in the basement to accomodate them. Hmmmm....

What esle are you giving away?

Early, you have the room to keep these downstairs while construction is going on. If you can wing it, make it happen. You think you have good sound now?

I've been thinking about it-I even thought about making a drive to GA  , but then I took a reality check (upper cut actually), and realized that my wife would definately know that I have been buying more gear again :o. Simply no way for me to hide them. Or explain why I had to drive to GA.

I got confused along the way, what model speakers are these? Amazing Silvers? With 3 drivers?

This is where I NEED to start with my rig held ransom by the ex. Jeezus... I don't even have the amplification to fire these up, but opportunity is squirting me in the eye right now. Let me make some calls and shake some hands.

PM sent to the actual owner this time.

Thanks Ricardo. You're truly a class-act. But I suspect you already know that.
