hello fellows, i'm doing a review on this (Troy's Thunder v8.5) power cord and wondered what are some of your thoughts after reading his ad.
http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?powrcond&1209017527
it actually sounds pretty good.
thanks,
marvin

I think the ad reads like a bad chinese translation.

Looks like the same kind of filtering a lot of power conditioners offer. Seems redundant, if one already has a good power conditioner.

I don't even have to read the add to know I wouldn't buy it. No way in hell I would send $175 to someone w/0 feedback who wasn't in the US and can't be bothered to snap a picture, not to mention the poor english in the ad and title.

i know, i wouldn't send him $175 but he sends it to you at no charge and only if you like it pay for it, otherwise send it back and all you are out of is shipping.
the bad thing about it is he says plug directly into the wall, i have three alan mayer power enhancers on my equipment that i like a lot and he said unplug them. that's why i would not keep it, but it does sound pretty good. now the looks are a different animal, the cord looks diy but i guess it's the sound that matters.

maybe i used the wrong title, what about "would you consider this free offer?"
remember he sends it to you no charge, he takes all the risks. i communicated with him that i thought the cosmetics need improvement.
i'm getting nothing out of this except good review material.
someone said it only doing what a good conditioner does but how much does that conditioner cost? that's why i love the maher power enhancers, you can start inexpensive and take it it to whatever level you want ( one guy has over 25 power enhancers in his home!)
    thanks,

what's your big turnoff to the ad? price, the broken english, comparisons to other more expensive items, bad pictures, other?
again he foots the bill, allthough for my review sample i had him agree to pay for the return postage:)
all kidding aside it does sound good, on a level of other cords that i have on hand, but he would have to adjust his price down accordingly.

he quotes $30 air i believe from Thailand. no the elephant does not come with it, i got it locally. you'll have to wait for the review to be published:D
but i can tell you it does sound good in my system, i took it to a guy's house that has a bunch of vintage equipment and cheap cabling and the troy on his power amp sounded terrible.

i got the same reply, don't know if my review will change a lot of minds.
i think he wants me to put it up for sale after i finish the review, instead of him paying for the return shipping. so if anyone wants to try it let me know, all i ask is you pay $6 for me to ship it to you, from then on you deal with jetsada.

Just wanted to let you know I have the power cord and after some break in time I found it to be quite good - better than most power cords up to about $400. Very clean, low noise level and good extension. I also have an Alan Maher power enhancer and I used it too. Jetsada said not to plug the p.cord into another power conditioner but the Maher enhancer plugs into the outlet (nothing gets plugged into it as in a typical power conditioner). I also have some Quiet Lines plugged into other outlets in the house. I would recommend you give it a try and see how it works for you - I kept mine and got a second one.
    thx

I wouldn't touch that with a 1.5m power cord, or is that pole...
