I also heard rumor that come May they'll be taking your HD-DVDs and giving you store credit for them.

Don't know anything about that Ron, just repeating what I saw on their website. I just figured I'd pass it along to all the po' bastahds that got the 'betamax' in this format war.
Now,....how long BRD is gonna be around.....with Mitsubishi launching Laser TV's in the fall?....

Probably won't have any bearing at all, but I have a sneaking suspicion that TV's and sources are gonna get into the same situation as VGC's vs. games.

I'm going to pick up a new digital video camera today or tomorrow. Got a 10% email coupon and $25 in RZ coupons to use. I'm looking at about $400 for a camera, nothing to fancy as the kids will be using in mostly.

there is nothing like that listed.. everything in their store is available for purchase with the gift card.. maybe I should go buy a more top of the line HD DVD player with it?

it does say that if you bought a computer with an HD DVD player in it.. those are excluded from the gift card. that bites.

says... Best Buy is shelling out $10 million in this gift card refunds. I wonder if Toshiba is picking up that little bill?

Well, that's $10M++ that'll be spent at their stores? It's probably a gamble on their part, but, some will probably spend it on an upgrade of SOME kind.???

weird thing about gift cards.. a lot of people just put it away in a drawer somewhere and forget about it.. there is something like a 40% rate of people who never use their gift cards.. so the store makes money on all the unused gift cards.

if you have a gift card, use it don't let it expire or put in your underwear drawer
