Really I would say Saving Private Ryan.

Lord of the Rings (Return of the King) the battle scenes rock. Sound from everywhere especially those flying creatures.

    Apollo 13 is real good.

Best Buy, Amazon, Circuit City...any other store that sells DVDs.

Most of the usuals have been spoken for. My favs are:

Bass: The Haunting, War of the Worlds, or U-571
Surrounds: Saving Private Ryan or Master and Commander
Short demo: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Trailer
Music: Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, Moulin Rouge, or Blue Man Group

Thanks. I did pick up last weekend.
Still don't know how to play with DTS. The mode on denon receiver set to Auto and it see as DD. When I changed the mode to DTS, there is no sound coming up. I set the DVD player output as Bitstream format with optical cable. Anybody knows how to play with DTS?

Did you choose the DTS track on the DVD?

Either go into the setup menu on the DVD itself and choose the DTS track, or push the "Audio" button on your DVD player remote to get to the DTS track while the DVD is playing.

With the Denon set to auto you should see it change when you do this.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

It is in the "Languages" section if I recall correctly it is the top option on the list, you select it from the DVDs menu. I was just watching scenes from this yesterday...it was awesome.

Sounds like it's set up correctly. Pick DTS on the audio/language menu of any DTS disc. Your player sends the bitstream DTS info to your receiver for processing. If you aren't getting sound that might mean your receiver doesn't decode DTS (highly unlikely unless it's fairly old) and/or isn't set up to do so.

Does your receiver have a DTS logo on it?

Again, sounds like everything else is set up correctly. If you are getting DD to play via optical, and your receiver can decode DTS, it should work.

When I first got my Polk / HK setup going, I went through Movie Trading Company on a DTS rampage. Bought every decent movie that had it. Even began deciding what movies to rent based on having DTS (like Domino).

I just noticed that on yesterday. Not all DVD's have a "Set Up" or "Audio" menu making it easier to find. I found it in Languages on one.
    - Onkyo TX-SR805
    - Polk RTi8's Main L/R's
    - Polk CSi A6 Center
    - Polk FXi3 Surrounds/Rear Surrounds

Thank you guys. It works really great. Now I'm tempting to get some more DTS movies. Any recommendation?

Underworld (the first one) is pretty good. I think I have the Superbit one.

    Gladiator is another.

Need to check the back of some of my hundreds of DVDs to see what else is DTS.
