    Transformers is good.

Black Hawk Down is good... the helicopters going overhead is unreal. crank it up when you watch it though. :)

Has anyone heard if Saving Private Ryan is coming out on Blu Ray or HD DVD? I hope it does.

It's a Spielberg movie so I think we have to wait for a while. The format war ending, I hope that is pushing Spielberg production into BD.

I heard one reviewer give big props to Crimson Tide during the scene when Gene Hackman is addressing the crew in the rain. He liked it for both good surround & good story.

There's always the Pod-Race in Star Wars 1, or the elevator scene in the Matrix.

Master and commander is one of the best as far as ambient sounds and noises. Several times it made me check my room for sounds that were coming from the sound track. As far as bass goes the hulk is one of the most underrated sound tracks out there. The fight between the genetic dogs and the hulk is by far one of the best bass producing scenes i have ever heard.

Master and Commander does rock out the DTS man. The scene where the ship is broadsiding the other ship blows me away every time. In fact I am going to crack a beer and go watch that scene right now.

Ditto on this. Just watched it last night. LOTS of bass, and great surround effects.
Also, Brothers in Arms is an AMAZING SHOW...both in sound and picture. For sound, check out the forest scene with artilery blowing **** up.

The fifth Harry Potter has some good Sh** in it. The part where the building spreads just about freaked me out. Bass coming from everywhere, had to jump for the remote and turn it down before my neighbors killed me. The end scene with Lord V and Dumbledore was pretty good as well.

Watched part of Matrix Revolutions the other night in HD-DVD and that was pretty awesome as well.

Actually, any movie turned up loud enough usually sounds pretty good to me.

Best Buy, Amazon, Circuit City...any other store that sells DVDs.

Most of the usuals have been spoken for. My favs are:

Bass: The Haunting, War of the Worlds, or U-571
Surrounds: Saving Private Ryan or Master and Commander
Short demo: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Trailer
Music: Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, Moulin Rouge, or Blue Man Group
