Please advice most suitable amp for LSi L/C/R HT < $600 Used.

    Less than $600 your best hope is a used Parasound. Spend a bit more and get something fantabulous.

    I just sold my B&K AV5000 to one of the forum members. It drove my LSi's very good, and it was sonically a very nice match with them. 5x125W, around $350-450 used.

    A good 5 channel amp would be an idea since you can bi-amp the L/R channels. It would let you get a lower power, higher quality amp that doesn't have the limitation of compression.

    Just a thought.

    I hear you Ben, I like my Adcom. Great bass, a little lack of details . I just need to match Center and Fronts.

    I vote for 'C' also. Get a new LPA 1 for less than your $600. Made my LSI 15s sound great.

    If you are lacking details try different IC's. Also heavy ultra fine speaker cable can dull the highs(capacitence). I was using monster 10ga, and it killed my highs. AQ CV4 worked very well, and my Silvers worked very well.

    If you are going to go with a 5 channel to bi amp the fronts make sure it has level controls to tame the highs.
    What Adcom are you running? The 555's and bigger use TO3 transistors which don't seem quit as fast as the mosfets. 535, 545, 5300, 5400, 5500, and 5800....
    I am selling a 545 now, and will be selling a 5800 soon. I don't know if that helps.

    I use Belden 10ga speaker cables and IC. Is that why I'm missing some highs?
    I'm running 5500 for front and 5400 for center now. Do you have 5503?

    Yes. I am pretty sure that the 10ga wire is killing the highs. I would try some cheap lighter ga wire as a test. In the auto section they have some 14ga wire for like $10. Sorry no 3 channels.

    At 600 used maybe a Rotel rmb1075. It's a nice amp with alot of power. You would be better off with a used 1400.00 RMB1095 which will make the Lsi's sing but the 1075 will work fine.

    B&K amps are powerful and very dynamic. Again at 600.00, it's going to be hard to get a Reference 5 channel amp. Maybe a St series which is still a fantastic amp. Probably as good if not alittle better then Rotel.

    All amps you listed will do the job . It's a matter of your budget on which one you can afford. You have great speakers and they require a great amp. Save your money and get a better amp.

    I love my Outlaw to death, but I havn't heard anything else in the same category. I would recommend 200 watts into 8ohms, as ridiculously good my 125 watt Outlaw was, my newer one sounds much better.

    You are right Ben, I have a chance to change the speaker wire w/ monster xp and MAC IC and got more details. Down the road, I would try AQ CV4 or your Silvers. Currently let me worry for a mess up center channel. Thank you.

    The sale of Rotel 1075s are moved fast either on eBay or A'gon.

    Which B&K do you have in mind if I decided to save now get later. I'm not in a hurry since I still have 2 Adcom to run.

    I'd vote for a used B&K Reference 3220 3 channel amp. A little above your price limit but a perfect match to your speakers. I just happen to have....nevermind, I won't stoop to a shameless plug for something I have for sale. :D

    Carver is also a good bang for your buck amp.Depends on your other gear,carvers are very nuetral,or as some might say,sterile sounding.Lots of current for those LSI's though.

    I would have chosen pro-amp if it was an option, so I had to pick "other"

    Glad it worked. I was so happy back when I got my first "HQ" set of Monster 10ga's. Sound stage dropped, and the old blanket over my speakers sound.
