Oh, YEAH!!

Been working on this for awhile now.

Fedex came through this afternoon, got it set up and spinning vinyl now. More thoughts later but this is one SWEET rig.

Big ups for hearingimpared, analong97, DAGLJAM6 and Stephan at Quest for Sound for helping this one come together.

Back to the music!!

That would have been the appropriate & optimal thread title, IF you had posted pics to accompany your declaration of vinyl dominance :D

I would order the outer clamp immediately if I had that table. I've even gone so far as to try and get an estimate to have one made custom for my platter. Luckily, you can order one pre-made.

Great choice on a TT. Stephen's a great guy to deal with. Now get 'er set up & enjoy!! For now at least...until Joe bends your ear & has you spending more $$$ on his arsenal of TT tweaks.

Damn nice table. I see it has the JMW arm (sweet). I can't quite make out what cartridge you're using. Enjoy!

    It's a Dynavector 20X, high output.

I have a tube phono stage and I need all the gain I can get out of the cartridge as I REALLY don't want to add another link in the chain (ie step up transformer)

I'm about 95% ready to pull the trigger on the periphery clamp. I don't know that I'm REALLY ready to drop 1200 on a new platter though. One step at a time.

    I love the CRS+ stands!!!

Groovy center channel, what is it, an old Frazier? Seriously, I've got some decent amp stands I can put you down for, for a small fee of course. ;)

I love this pic! It shows that you have your priorities straight. New turntable is probably worth at least 10 times what the old school projection TV is worth.:D

Congrats on the new toy! It's a beauty.

The Silvers came into the house about 3 weeks ago......

TV sucks, why spend money on it?

The center is a Dynaco A-25.....for now, I did the surround thing for Wendi. Before I invest in a center Ima see what stays and what goes. I'm back and forth on the Carvers and the SDA's

Amp stands, send that shiite on, put it on my bill and I'll square up with you.

Ted, I'm down w/that. I fly to St Louis at oh-dark-thirty on Monday but other than that, come on up.

    Nice addition to the system.

Might I suggest that the next TT purchase be a solid stand to place the TT on. If you have a solid wood end table, try placing it on there but use footers under the plinth feet as they will mark the table top.

I found the Scout to perform better on a solid wood end table. It also has a bottom shelf I store LPs on which mass loads it. I also installed spikes on the legs for leveling and isolation.

Damn, threads like this get the vinyl bug going again.
I went down and listened to a good tube setup with Dynaudio
speakers and a good jazz record at a audio shop in Kansas City today.
    Pure heaven!
Makes me want to go home and chuck all that other crap
    out and go all analog.
