Start growing your hair now, both Kill 'Em All and Ride the Lightning are being re-mastered by MoFi for release on April 15. Both are going to be available on standard vinyl and 200g 45 rpm formats.

Are they going to release the remasters on CD? I know DCC did an excelent job on ride the lightning & master of puppets but they are just too expensive.

When I think of all the things I would like to see remastered....the first band I think of is Metallica.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I will buy them as soon as they are available. I already have the 9.98 LP (or whatever the hell its called) on vinyl and some other one that I can't remember. You have not heard metalica until you have heard the vinyl.

Edit: I see they have the 45RPM remasters too, thats the ones to get. This stuff sounds so much better at the higher speed. Well worth the extra $$.
    Vinyl, the final frontier...

Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... :D

The first single of the new album is supposed to make its worldwide debut as a downloadable track in Rock Band too.

    +10,000

Drag Bob Rock out into the street and shoot him first off for single handedly ruining one of the greatest bands ever.

Then slap Hetfield for being a whiny **** and tell him to have a beer!

Then maybe Newstead will come back and they can pick up where they left off at ....and Justice for All.

Until that happens, I refuse to buy anything Metallica. I just cant support a band that I worshiped for a decade only to have them sell out and abandon all the principles we headbangers hold dear.

They just annouced Master of Puppets for June and Justice some time in August.

As promised, June will see the re-release of "Master of Puppets" on vinyl . . . the retro summer continues! Following on the heels of "Kill 'Em All" and "Ride the Lightning," we dusted off the masters and MOP will come out in the same formats - a single disc at 33 rpm and a deluxe two disc version on 180 gram vinyl spinning at 45 rpm.

Look for "Master" on vinyl to hit the Met store and your friendly local record shop on June 17, 2008 in North America and damn close to that date in the rest of the world. You know the drill . . . we'll keep you posted here! And for those still following along, yes, "Justice" is up next . . . probably some time in August.
