Oh, so now you want to play the connection card, eh? Even Anti-Cable terminates the ends for ease of use. I guess you haven't figured that one out yet.

I really like my AQ type 4's, and CV4's with dbs(solid core). I always thought batteries, and speaker cables were BS, but I am on the list for Ricardo's swap program. We'll see.

If anyone has any question on CL35's ignorance when it comes to audio, please, go look at his thread about his Maggie 1.6's. First, they were the greatest thing since sliced bread. Then, they sounded like crap....and he actually posted a picture of his setup. THEN he said he didn't set them up because he couldn't find the manual (apparently he couldn't navigate the Magnepan website either).

Wow, thanks. I forgot all about that.

I'm perfectly happy with 10 ga romex and have no plans of trying anything else.

I've mentioned this before. Stranded will sound better unless you do a left vs right comparison between stranded and romex because stranded is louder. Once you compare the two side by side, you will hear how much more defined and clear the romex is.

He uses caps on his tweeters that he claims can make a SL2000's sound like a RD0-194. Meanwhile he constantly says he doesn't like the sound of the RD0-194.

    Biggest hypocrite going.

Just think how peaceful it would be here without him.

And this from a guy who can't tell you the difference between a cap and a resistor (yet swears by them)....nor can he find the manual for a pair of speakers......eh, well you get the idea.

have a nice day. I know I am.

Is there anything you guys won't argue about. First you argue for 5 pages that wires and cables do make a difference and now you want to argue about which ones are better. roflol

    So am I, Carl.

Personally, I don't care what you do or what you enjoy. I'd just hate for anyone to take your advice without knowing what your credibility level is. You have a track record for not telling the truth and lacking in basic fundamentals....and people should take that into account when considering your 'advice'.

See CL, this is what I'm talking about. Once again you spout out crap that is absolutely ridiculous. You can not do an A/B comparison listening to speakers with one L and one R speaker.

If you do, you lose all of the attributes that most audiophiles strive to achieve. That being the sound stage, imaging and a plethora of other things that make a system what it is.

Once again, another strike off your credibility card. Sad, really.

that may be true but I'm not a audiofool so I do what works for me without any preconceived notions that it won't work.

Initially the stranded on the left sounded so much louder and stronger and forceful that I just about called off the test but the more I listened to the right side solid core 2.3, the more intricate details I could differentiate (hear) with it versus the loud and boomy left side stranded, that in the end, it was no comparison at all. The solid core won hands down for the kind of music I prefer (jazz, vocals, instrumentals, rock ballads, etc).

This may not be your preference for hard rock, rap and other loud and boomy music but for me it is the perfect sound.

The problem with that attitude in this hobby is that it's not what this hobby is about. It's no secret, to get the best sound, you have to spend a good amount of money. Anybody that tells you otherwise does not know what they are talking about and/or they have never heard true high fidelity. In your case, both would apply.
