    Wish it was coming out as an arcade system.

    Street Fighter isn't as fun without the joystick and 6 buttons.

    Man, I was an arcade terror in my youth! I could walk up to a game, throw my quarter up in line and if someone in line already knew me, quarters would start coming down off the line within minutes. Street Fighter wasted many hours and a bunch of money in my youth!


    Still, I have a hard time getting used to using a D-pad to play Street Fighter. The moves were all such sweeping and powerful moves that using directional buttons or those weenie little thumb-sticks just doesn't cut it. Also, if you are playing on a Playstation, you don't have all 6 buttons available easily to your right hand. Hampers the playing ability IMO.

    When Sega had it's Dreamcast though, playing Street Fighter on that was blissfully easy! Same thing with the Genesis controller too although the Genesis was a little slow and play was clunky at times because it couldn't keep up with the frame rates.

    Eitherway, it's cool to see a new Street Fighter. I can hear Blanka's roar and the bongo drums from his board now! If it wasn't for the original Street Fighter, there's be no Mortal Kombat or Virtua Fighter or Tekken or Primal Rage or Bloody Roar or any other one on one fighting game.


    My favorite was World Championship Edition with Cammie, DeeJay and Fei Long. Those were my favorite characters. My best were Guile and Blanka though.

    You have to keep watching, there is some cool zooming in and out during certain hits and you get to see the expressions on their faces, etc.

    It will be arcade in Japan. Maybe over here too. Who knows. I don't know where an arcade is anymore these days.

    Street Fight Ex Plus Alpha was my favorite.

    EX series was a riot, but broken.

    I'll play SF4 when it comes out, but I'm not as stocked as I shoudl be.

    I went to pick it up today too and they said its not out until tomorrow. Damnit. Probably going to buy it. I sure hope it lives up to MY expectations of best fighting game ever.

    Hey Sherardp, I got a copy for 360.

    My initial thoughts, the voice acting is killing me. Its so lame. The cartoons are almost as lame, but make no mistake, they too are super lame.

    Seth is the worst final boss ever. Where have I seen a final boss that is a supernatural cyborg type that can use all of the moves from the other players. Oh yeah, EVERY OTHER FIGHTING GAME, thats where. Seriously, its very unoriginal. Off the top of my head I can think of Soul Calibur, Dead or Alive, etc...

    I really like the ways you can use your combo powers. Use them via ex style or go for broke with the ultra combo.

    I also really like the titles and icons for multiplayer. Right now I am 'Assistant Manager'.

    Damn doesnt sound like its a hit after all. I'll be looking for you once I get my copy. Amazon has shipped so should be Monday/Wednesday next week.

    Can someone please comment on SF4 gameplay. What's with the charge blocking thingy? Can I use bar to do EX moves, fo real? What moveset are we working with for ken? Does he have HCF+k? Can I juggle with shinryukens?

    Just got this and it is pretty good game. Love the improved visuals. As for gameplay I remember the basics, but trying to work these combos. I should be ready for online in a few days, gotta warm up to it, before you guys put the smack down on me .
