I have all the PMs. I never deleted them. You did not reply to me by e-mail, but Troy sent you everything via e-mail and you e-mailed him back with a not so nice message for me. The fact that you got banned at all speaks to the way you handle little disagreements. They aren't going to ban someone for having a gentleman's debate.
But look... lets just stop... no more fighting... we are different people, we have different opinions, lets all just calmly debate without throwing insults and threats. I am well aware that you guys do not care for my opinions... I don't need to be reminded all the time that I am a thief or that I am always wrong about everything and everything. Even if you think I am wrong, the beauty of debate is that through mature conversation, something positive comes out of it in the end. Lets all call a truce here ok? My outlook on the music industry and closed formats is not going to change, and I am not trying to change the way you guys feel about it. I bring up my ideas the same way you do, because this is an open forum. We can disagree and still get along, at least I hope we can. I am not asking for a group hug, just a truce. We are all adults here, and I think we can get along here in Polkland.and when I see fit, I will throw the BS flag on you.
That is exactly what needs to stop. Your BS flag is a subjective thing... it is an opinion. Everything we have argued about, both of us have come up with hard evidence supporting our, very different, takes on things. Just because TroyD says it, doesn't make it so, and same goes with Yashu. It's ok to disagree as long as we are aware the the other person is set in their ways. That's ok... this is what the forum is about, sharing ideas. If we all were the same, there would be nothing to talk about. What makes me angry is that you assume that you have the power to render other's opinion's null and void, no matter how much hard evidence, cited references, etc. are provided. I am not a crackpot just because I am not a TroyD clone, or because I have found evidence contrary to yours and your friend's. Accept that, otherwise it is hard to have any kind of mature discourse here. I don't think you are a crackpot. I am aware that you have different ideas, and in the tumultuous world of music, things can go either way... that is why I am calling for a truce... just an understanding that we are different, but both just as valid as the other. -

I think Yashu has missed the point.Aside from the whole bits are bits thing,sound quality still is the first and foremost issue.The extraction of those bits is what determines SQ and to what media it may please people.Seeing that SQ is so very subjective,different media will always be available for playback sources,be it analog or digital.Flac has it's appeal,but until the SQ can compete,we music lovers can't give it our blessing.Yashu,I understand you are looking at it from an artist vs. big bad corporation point of view,but you have to understand the general consumer doesn't give a rats **** about that.We want music that sounds good,period.And some of use like to own material things,cd's,lp's,and such,rather than a piece of cyberspace.Sure,change is inevitable,so what,as long as the change is for the good,and even if flac comes up to meet SQ of today's gear,there will always be a market for seperate gear that people can play with,fine tune,and enjoy just looking at it.They will both co-exist and so what if they do?HT SYSTEM-
