    Hey Tom,
    This is gonna sound insane...

    LOL

But my Mom unfortunately is not the strongest person on earth...

I have a TV stand arriving... Friday...

I was wondering when you come over on Saturday to get the sub if you can help me mount that thing...

Shouldnt take long, Ill go ahead and have everything attached and ready to roll, I just need to have some help getting that thing on the stand...

But yep, both subs are sold. So thats a good thing..

Getting rid of approximately... 520 pounds of speakers in 2 weeks!

The weight isnt nessicarially the issue, but the odd shapes with the weight...

Picking up a big (10-12" wide, 1.5" thick, 15') board is one thing...

Picking up at... 40" tall, 14" wide, 12" deep speaker that weighs 120 pounds overall and weighs differently in different areas is completely different...

The TV was real odd to pick up and set down by myself :)

Haha, but yep, first time I will ever be without a sub on purpose haha

    Trey,

I know how you feel. My TV is 200lbs, projector 120, and sub another 100+ or so. Then add 50 for the screen and like 60 for the DT's and you get 600+lbs...a lot of work when I rearrange my room :(

    THREAD FROM THE DEAD!!!!

Folks, I had an "unfortunate incident" with my current speakers and I'm trying to get the $$$ up to purchase another pair. My loss is your gain.

This sub was originally slated to go to my grave with me, BUT times change and I am currently without any tunes at all. This has got to change before I go insane. Therefore, I am listing this sub back up for sale on the original sales thread.

I'm asking $425.00 and if Trey still has the boxes I never picked up, they will be included as well. If not, well then.......they are not included. You do NOT want to ship this bad boy because of the weight but if I have to, buyer will assume all costs. There is not one thing wrong or problematic with this sub as she has performed flawlessly since the day I got her from Trey. It looks and performs just as it did the day I got it.

Be sure to look for the other gear I have for sale and more will be popping up soon. I need sound fellas! That is the ONLY reason these are up on the block.

There is no sub you can buy for under 1500 that can compare in output...accuracy...texture...extention - just will not happen. Outside of size, this sub for the money is amazing.

There is no real comparison to the two subs. I have had the VMPS with four different amps now. When you have nailed the optimal location [which for me was in between the mains] and powered it with even just a decent amp, the two are still incomparable. Couple this sub with the SMS-1 and you don't have a sub anymore. What you have is a speaker system with seamless integration.

Due to my mains not being able to operate due to that "unfortunate incident", I can not offer you a graph from the SMS-1. The graph shouldn't matter that much anyway because it is taken at 80db and is room [size and content] specific. This sub will do the lower registers with grace, precision and extreme fast response. No freakin' "boom" at the bottom unless you use the knobs of sin.

I will say this, you can most definitely feel the lower frequencies way before you begin to hear them.

Not Ohio, but I will be going here http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Owensboro&state=KY&address=1316+Sweeney+Street+&zipcode=42303 within the month to pick up the speakers I'm getting. If it's not too far off the beaten path, I can meet someone. I'll be coming from Charlotte, NC.

I'm going to be down near that way around the end of next month, but will be out in the wilderness. 1 and 1/2 mile hike to get to a roughly built A-frame cabin. Why am I going here you ask? I think I'm too nice, but friends of my g/f's family are going to be re-roofing the cabin then and needed the help. It will not be fun at all, but their family is absolutely wonderful...probably the nicest people I've ever met in my life. Anyways, good luck with the sale. I don't know much about this sub, but it sounds like it's awesome and I would love to add it to my setup.
