I am wondering how the batteries work with these speaker cables. How easy to replace the batteries?

The batteries are easy to change. They are No. 23 batteries I believe. I use the columbia DBS I/C's and like them a lot.

I can't explain the science behind it, but the batteries are supposed to constantly maintain a charge, so the cables are always "broken in."

To replace the batteries, just unplug them and plug in the replacements. No problem.

The batteries in the sets of CV6 36v I have are standard AA. Very easy to change; but, the design of the cables doesn't drain power from a battery other than to power a small green LED that can be lit with a push button to check if the battery is still okay. Batteries usually last years, or about as long as the shelf life of a battery as if it wasn't used for anything. I haven't used the higher voltage DBS versions, but I'd think the principles would be the same, although batteries different.

AA batteries? How are you doing that? Are you using 24 of them in each cable? A AA battery only produces 1.5 watts. You will need 24 AA batteries to get a 36V charge. I use 4 12v N23 batteries in my Columbia 48v I/C's.

I like the wood floors better than the cables. Those floors look like they actually came from a tree. LOL

That's not a floor. It's my dining room table. Made of pine. We don't eat off the floor.

Hey, you're right. The previous owner said they were AA batteries and I never bothered to open the holder to check. They are standard 12v N23 batteries, as easy to change as in a remote control or flashlight and readily obtained in most stores.

These are excellent cables that I've never been disappointed with.

Well that is good, at least you are getting the full effect of them. Partsexpress has them at the lowest price I found, if you need to change them.

I own cv8's and jaguars which all have 36db and they are about 2 years now or so and I just checked them a few weeks ago and they all have full power.

Mine don't use AA, they have smaller 12v batteries in them by 3. AA batteries are 1.5 volts and would take alot to get up to 36v. Your battery holder would be as along as the speaker wire.
