Have always seemed to have had some of this, and that, and always managed to find something that sounded good enough for me..have gone thru many many speakers over the years....Thanks to a great guy in Mpls I have been blessed with 2 LS 90 new in 95 ..stored since 97 ..2 LS 50..he thought they were 70's but to me a much better match as same drivers as the 90's and the cs 350 ls, all in like new shape, all for under $500 and threw in a 25 foot long pair of apature accu flow speaker wire for the 50's... no need for a sub yet....great in both HT and 2 channel...guess next piece is a amp to really get the 90's to sing a bit more..a true believer..Pink Floyd Pulse DVD quite nice..heck it all sounds quite nice..this site has been a goldmine of inf..thank you all...wish I had read the FAQ's first as it would have answered 99% of my questions involving setup..and its also great to get opinions from those who have had first hand experince...well the journey for time being has ended and a new ride has begun

Nice set up and great $$ deal too. It happens I had Pulse disc 1 playing last night. There is a definate difference with a sub during certain tracks. I listened to this disc with and without a sub and have never regretted the sub purchase. I wish I had a lcd or plasma to enjoy the video on but for now our old tv will have to do! What Oppo player are you using? Does it have true bass management in analog(multi channel)?
Yep, my name really is Bob.

just the 5 Polk speakers.....was a great guy we talked for over an hour...he had 10 pp call before me but I was the only one to showup...really didnt need the $$ but was more concerned they went to a good home, would be used, and not resold...he does have a M&K MX80 sub..its a beast..quite large and heavy...that he wants to get rid of too...but am also looking at the Polk subs to stay all Polk....I see it as a good karma thing....

Is it just me, or does it look as though the tweeter on the CS350 needs sucked/pushed out? NotaSuv, if you want to check it, the tweeter dome should be a rounded dome, not indented in the middle (which is what I am seeing in your picture). Even so, that's a very minor issue (if it is true) and you got a real bargain IMHO.

If you do find damage on the tweeter, and want to fix it, I have had success with careful use of a vacuum or careful pushing (with a Q-tip) of the dismantled dome from behind (you have to first remove the tweeter, then twist off the dome, if the CS350 is put together this way). If none of that works, Customer Service is probably able to supply a new tweeter for about $50-90, but the dome may be silk rather than the original tri-laminate. The dome is required for better sound dispersion.
    Alea jacta est!

Could be that the flange of the dome is showing, making it looked pushed in. Looks ok to me, because if it is pushed in, it was done very symmetrically.
