Alright I have my Onkyo 705 and in the process of setting up. I connected my DVD player via component cable and coax audio. I then ran my cable box to the receiver via HDMI and to my TV from there via HDMI. I am getting cable tv, but only audio from the DVD player. I tried switching the HDMI monitor to yes and no which made no difference. I switched the front control panel to CD then back to DVD and got video for about 1 second before it went off again. Any ideas???

Bad connection from the cable going into the dvd player. I had a couple cables that even when they were firmly plugged in they still wouldn't show picture unless I pushed or pulled them up or down.
