Speaker Packing Comment

I recently bought a bunch of Polk speakers online since I was buying new speakers for myself and a set up for my parents who are moving into a new house (3 VM20's, 2 LSi15's, 1 LSiC, 2 DSW Pro 500's, and 2 TC60i's). I bought all the speakers from various authorized online vendors. Two of the speakers ordered from Crutchfield ended up damaged - one of the VM20's and one of the DSW Pro 500's. Crutchfield already replaced the VM20 and I'm sure they'll replace the DSW Pro 500 that arrived at my house today, but I just wanted to comment that I think Polk could do a better job protecting the speakers for shipping purposes. In both cases the boxes had been pushed in and the speaker was damaged because there is nothing between the cardboard and the speaker to protect it. It just seems like they can get damaged too easily. The box on one of my LSi15's had a little damage to it too, but thankfully it was fine.
Nothing against the product. I love all my Polk speakers (I bought the LSI's to replace my old Polk's which I've had for 10 years). I'm just a little frustrated trying to get all these orders done. The first DSW Pro 500 shipped to my house ended up lost by UPS (yes - lost!). Apparently the shipping label fell of the box, so they delivered me a shipping label without a sub. Now the sub I get to replace the lost sub is damaged.
Now that I've got that off my chest I feel better.

Hi Kenneth,
I as well had problems with this...I ordered 2 RTi12 and 2 RTi8 online and all 4 arrived with broken grills (this was promptly resolved by Polk's excellect customer service BTW, I'm just giving you more data for your report).
Thanks! No earth robot is going to tell ME which button to press!!

I have just received my new PSW 505 sub to compliment the rest of my system and it has shown up with a damaged unusable front grill. Where Can I purchase a replacement front grill. I have sent an e-mail directl to Polk last week and I have not heard back from them yet.
