    What is there to explain? Polk speakers, the newer ones anyway, are focused mainly towards home theater and therefore the majority of the forum is focused toward home theater. Any more topics and it would just make it harder to moderate.

    I think a dedicated H/T spot would be nice but who am I to say? I receive alot of PM's about H/T related questions so it would be nice to have a dedicated area to post them then we can all answer.

    I see 5 major cats: HT, 2 channel, Car stereo, For sale, Clubhouse and I'm probably leaving one or two out like where troubleshooting would go.

    Would it be beneficial then to have drop downs to the individual sub-cats/rooms?

    Could "Todays Posts" be user configured/controlled if someone only wants to see todays posts for HT & Car stereo for example?

    Some ppl like change and some hate it. I'm just wondering if the forum website should grow and expand along with the growth of the number of participating members.

    Thoughts?

    If you want see what happens when you expand a forum to include all kinds of useless categories like you are suggesting, take a look at AK. Nothing, but a huge clusterfu(k.

    The problem with AK is that their members don't have a common thread (no pun intended) like this forum has (i.e. polk speakers). Thus they'll probably never have the feeling of community that this forum has.

    Just because another website has expanded and isn't a commune of close-knit monks doesn't mean the same will happen with this one.
