or rooms as I call them.

I'm thinking of:

1. Turntables/Vinyl
2. Tubes & Tube Equipment
3. Home Theater
4. ?

I think it might be easier for newb's and everyone to find topics that have already been discussed.

I think a section specific to HT could be good. Seperate the 2 channel-centric threads from the HT stuff.

I think maybe a HT section would be cool, it would centralize a lot of questions....Instead of having a whole section dedicated to tube gear/vinyl, I would suggest a sub-forum (or two) inside the 2 Channel section.

As pointed out to me about a year ago, by a few CP members and they were right, Club Polk is mainly a HT forum. Thats why the 2chnl thread started. Everything else is pretty much HT.

I wanted an additional thread that dealt with different surround sounds. Since HD dvd offers even more audio options, I thought a Surround Sound thread (room) would be cool. That partained to speaker configs and new formats.

I don't know, I see a lot more 2 channel stuff all over the place as of late. It would be neat to have a couple of sub forums under the 2 channel for tube an vinyl gear, with FAQs for biasing, where to find tubes, general turntable setup questions, etc.....In fact, that may be a god idea in general with what we already have in place....

When Polk starts selling tube amps and turntables and other vinyl related things then you will see forums other than just a general 2 channel forum.

Until then, don't expect to see those forums on a Polk forum....it's not in their target market to cater to those people.

edit: Once you sort through all the crap stuff on audiokarma it's a great resource for 2 channel with regard to vinyl, tubes, etc.

Maybe you need to adjust or replace the tin foil on your hat. The tin does oxidize after a while, you know.
