Help removing tweeter connectors

Hi, I have a pair of M10s and I believe one of my tweeters is overdriven. I ordered a new tweeter from Polk and have it here with me. I am trying to remove the old tweeter but the connections on the back are very stubborn. They seem to be glued or somehow fastened to the little metal tabs on the tweeter itself.

I've tried a plier, but I'm afraid of damaging something. Is there any proper way to remove them? Or should I just pull?

Just grab the terminal where the wire is crimped, and pull. They lock on there pretty good. Welcome to Club Polk.

Excellent, that did the trick. I guess there was nothing to worry about after all. With the new tweeter in, the speaker sounds brand new. Thanks for the help.
