I am getting very faint volume from these speakers. I have updated my audio driver and maxed out all volume settings. What am I missing?
Thank you

    Hello,
Do the speakers have an external power supply? Also, do they have their own volume controls?
    Regards, Ken, Polk Audio
  • I AM HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE. I THOUGHT MY SOUND BOARD GOT ZAPPED BUT I HEAR FAINT VOICE ON NEWS TALK CHANNEL AND ALL VOLUME CONTROLS ARE 100% WHAT ELSE CAN I DO TO UP THE VOLUME ON MY PC. THANKS
  • In all likelihood these are not self-powered speakers, meaning they don't contain an audio amplifier. They came with a specific HP computer that had an amplified sound card. The only thing you can do is to find a small amplifier to go between the sound card and the speakers. Frankly, it's not worth it. Better to find a pair of speakers that contain an amplifier.
I'm sure someone on this forum can suggest a good example.
