Thanks Joe that was the idea.:) I'm sorry you ended back up in ER. You gotta slow down & let your body rest & heal Joe, I want to meet you at PF2008!:)

Well I guarantee at this rate, I'll be half the weight I am now. I don't know if I can be fun without being fat!!!:D

Yep Cath, I am taking it perfectly easy and nothing is going to get me aggrevated, except maybe Thuggy!!:D Kidding Tobey!!! BTW thanks to you to for the kind sentiments.

My doctors (no typo here plural is correct) told me I have to learn to walk slower, talk slower, move slower, eat slower etc etc. that is hard being a Type A personality all my life but is doable especially if I want to see a couple of little Josephs and Josephines running around looking for Pop Pop.

Not reacting/responding to some of the recent "experts" that have found their way to Club Polk will probabaly add another 10 years all by itself. Get well soon!

    Good advice.

    Slow it down.
You're one of the hardheads on here that make this joint what it is , kind of a salt in the Polk Stew.

.....maybe not salt ..... more like ....... paprika.

    ....no, not paprika...........

    .......parsley ? ........ no ....... okay, sage ! That's it !

You're one of the sages in the Polk Stew !

And, if I may humbly suggest, perhaps you and Beardog might want to cut back a tad on the open-mouth kissing ...... not being judgemental or anything, but ....... still ...... I'm just saying .......

    Now .... go relax !

Joe I found a minty version of the 1812 Overture at the GW put out by Yorkshire Records performed by the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. I think it sounds real nice.

I put it on tonight while my daughter was doing her homework and she finished in record time. No pun intended. Win Win

The one we listened to was "Uh Huh". I had another one that sounds equally as good "American Fool"

I will get that Crab Dip recipe to you shortly.

    Hope you are feeling better.

I had to make an encore visit to the ER tonight. I had another attack of acute pancreatitis. Extraordinarily painful!!!

The good news is that by some mircle all my blood work was completely normal. The bad news is no-one can figure out why I am continuing to have these bout of it. I was doubled over writhing in pain by the time we got to the hospital.

I eat right, I've lost 30 lbs and I've been trying to get some exercise in.

Atleast this time I wasn't admitted to the hospital by the Grace of God.

These doctor and hospital bills are starting to add up.

This is frustratingly scary to me.

You mentioned that your blood work is normal, but I'm curious: do you have trouble with your blood sugar levels ?

Wondering because it looks like there might be some connections between insulin levels and people who have a painful pancreas.

I'm sure that your doctors are on top of that, but we here at Club Polk are available for consultation.

    Rick,

I check my blood sugar four times a day since I got out of the hospital last February .. . . all normal as was the blood test at the ER tonight. When I was first admitted last month my blood sugar was over 800 and my triglycerides over 2600.

That was some bad stuff but tonight EVERYTHING including my amalayse & lypayse (pancreatic) levels were perfect.

I have some tests coming up in the next few months that may shed some light on this.

Joe, you're a tough ole MF'er (you know I mean that in the nicest way). Take your pancreas out back behind the house, whip the **** out of it, let it know who's boss. Come back in, sit in the sweet spot, Zep One side one on the table. You'll be back in it, in your element. At this point you'll be able to call Jesse and convince him to buy a turntable. Get well, bud!
