Can anyone tell by the pics what these are and what they might be worth? I'm thinking SDA 1C?

It's about 1.5 hour drive for me so I'm only interested if they look promising. They are still available and price is negotiable.

I'm not sure but since you don't want to ever pay the shipping cost I would go for them. Seems like a fair price from what I remember of the Denver market. I hope you called to get in line.

They are SDA 1B's and well worth the asking price.

Well after lot's of soul searching and pondering I have decided to pass on these. He was willing to sell for 300.00, and is in Estes Park CO which is about a 90 minute drive from Denver. Hopefully they will find a good home.

Don't think the seller would appreciate that. Maybe he could up it a notch and pee on them after jumping on them :D

What's the difference then between the 1Bs and the 1Cs?

Not much really. The 1B's use 6509's, the 1C's use 6510's and 6511's. Both use SL2000's. The 1B's use the blade/blade cable, the 1C's use the pin/blade.

The 1C has the following improvements over the 1B:

    1. Improved, faster drivers and an improved and simplifed crossover. This results in more resolution and detail.

    2. The 1C has a nominal 6 ohm impedance which makes it an easier amplifier load compared to the 1B (4 ohm).

    3. Stiffer cabinet structure for reduced cabinet resonance.

    4. Some 1C's can be used with non-common ground amps though use of the AI-1 interface cable.

I gave owned both the 1B and the 1C. The difference between them is not subtle.

Thanks ya'll. What gave it away from that picture? How could you tell the difference? (The reason I am asking is I want 1Cs to be my next SDA step)

The 1C's I had used the blade/blade connector.
