Isn't Genesis a really high end speaker company?
http://www.genesisloudspeakers.com/
When did they start making integrated amps?
But that integrated really does look IMPRESSIVE. It is MASSIVE. -
I've seen some pretty damn impressive ultra-hifi speakers made by Genesis that a very knowledgeable friend of mine had been drooling over. I'm sure their electronics would be up to snuff of their speakers.
100W class A is highly impressive in any form, even more unusual (unique?) in an integrated. If it's a legit seller, could be a real deal to a buyer - for example, compare to the Parasound JC-1 (first 25 Watts class A) at around $3500 used.
Wish they listed more info - surely Genesis consulted with a well-known amp designer or maker for this?
Wish this had come up a couple years back right before I pulled the trigger on a used Sunfire SignatureTannoy Dimension TD10, SOTA Star Sapphire, Heathkit W4A's, McIntosh MC2100, Eddie-Current Zana Deux, Singlepower SDS, Sennheiser HD650, Audio-Technica L3000, Sony Qualia 010 -
I beleive the Mark Levinston #383 Integrated is the worlds best. This however is very cool.Dan

Nah, the kW 500 is the best because I said so.Political Correctness'.........defined

Kinda looks like an older Krell, only black. I like the industrial look...

Yet others would consider the Gryphon Diablo or the Asr Emitter 1 Exclusive Version Blue to be the best.Political Correctness'.........defined

Having that in your home will definitely bring your oil/gas bill down."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

Which one is more expensive? Electricity or oil/gas?
If you run that thing, your electric bill is going to go through the roof.:DHaving that in your home will definitely bring your oil/gas bill down. -
From what little I could find on this supposedly only 50 or so of these ever made it into production. Would love to audition one of these!:D

some integrated... I don't see a phono input :-)

Just put a little phono stage next to it, or behind it, you won't even know it's there... hehe.

As usual I agree with F1nut.

Give me a vintage Scott or a Fisher, work it over, repalce some tubes. For $500 it will sound as nice as most amps that you spend a whole lot of green for comparable or worse sound. Just be sure you have some efficient speakers.Carl

I wouldn't say all that but there are some excellent vintage integrated amps in the hobby.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
