Problem with miDock 10

My son has a miDock 10 and an iPod touch. He wants to use it as an alarm clock, but if he has the iPod plugged in with the miDock on without anything playing, there is a put-put-put sound from the miDock. Otherwise it sounds fine when music is playing.
Any ideas?

    Here is their response:
    "The touch and miDock10 are not really compatible. There is a fit issue.

    That said, my guess is this is the WiFi in the touch causing noise problems. I replicated this problem here, and it went away when I disabled WiFi."
