Whats up gamers,

I own both and see some titles released for both. Some say the 360 versions are better but why?

Devil may Cry and Assisns Creek are the 2 games I want to pick up and wonder which system to get them 4. I downloaded the demo for DMC4 for Ps3 and going to for 360 as it's out.

Any opnions on these and others??

i think if you go to www.gametrailers.com you can see a lot of games compared from ps3 and 360 version. it gave assassins creed as well as most other games higher marks on the 360. but it does a split screen video that shows it playing on both systms at the same time. pretty cool. also, i have asassins creed im trying to sell for 360.........:)

Games like DMC and AC are IMHO games that play well on both systems but the ps3 has the edge because of higher graphics.

Games like COD4 and the Rainbow Six series excell more on the 360 due to the online gaming.

I have COD for both systems and much prefer the 360 version due to the online play. Funny story.....I was playing COD online yesterday for a few rounds. 50" Sony KDF series hooked up via component. I went upstairs and my son was playing it on the ps3 online also 61" Samsung hooked up via HDMI. The ps3 won hands down. I know it was two different TV's and sizes, but the graphic detail was much more enhanced.

What is odd is that I had played both systems on the same Samsung TV, but COD4 was played on different days. And I really thought there was no difference. But after what I saw yesterday I readily admit that the ps3 is superior in detail.

you can't actually claim that one looks better than the other based on the fact that you saw the same game being played on a different tv hooked up HDMI. you take into consideration that HDMI will be sharper. i notice a diffrence on my 360 everytime i go between HDMI and component on the same TV. also, what distance were you from you tv when playing vs distance when you were watching your son. i am only guessing you popped your head in his room to watch so you were further away than normal. more distance=sharper detail. fair comparison would be this: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/27570.html

personally i can barely tell the difference except i do think the 360 version looked better at the 3/4 mark of the video when you are talking to Captain Price. i'm not trying to be a fan boy i just thought i would point out that i think you made an unfair comparison

I know there are at least a couple games out there that the 360 version looks better, plays at more fps. The developers have come out and said that its largely due to the 360 being easier to code for/they are more familiar with it. Madden 08 is the one particular game I can think of now. So, point being, the PS3 has better capabilities graphics-wise, they aren't always utilized.

Some of it might have to do with the PS3 being harder to program compared to the 360. Since the 360 uses a more traditional processor, it's easier to optimize than the PS3. Just a thought.

AC looks better on the 360, hands down. Anyone not sure, just take a look at the shadows on both consoles, you'll see what I mean.

Are you sure you dont have this backwards? For graphics and game play, 360 wins out everytime.

Did you see the comparison of **** Creed? 360 by far has the better graphics.

As for titles? PS3 wins out.

PS3 wins for titles? When did that happen? I thought that was the #1 reason to not get the PS3 is lack of games...

Well, from my understanding the PS3 can play ps2 games as well, unless I am mistaken... As far as I know, the 360 is not backwards compatable.

I own 360, and will probably get a ps3 for my son. But I will stick with the 360.

The 360 is backwards compatible, actually.

It uses an emulator you need to download from xbox live. My understanding is there is no other hardware needed than just your 360.

also i personally wouldn't call ps3 having better titles because its backwards compatible. maybe MORE games, yes, but better current generation line-up? i guess thats in the eye of te beholder. also on a cool side note. have you guys who have 360's heard that 007 for the n64 is going to be abl to be downloaded via xbox live for the launch of the new bond game? i am stoked:)

Holy Shnikes...GOLDENEYE? Wow that had to be one of the best n64 titles. Up there with Zelda, Dk64, and Banjo Kazooie.

I ment ps3 has more titles. More childish titles (like Nentendo). I prefer the 360 more mature titles.

I like that Heavenly sword game for ps3. I'm gonna pick that up. Next up is Devil may Cry and I'm on the fence on which system to buy that for. I downloaded both demos and perfer the game play on the 360. I think It's more due to I'm so used to the 360's controler. I really want a few games for ps3 as I only have one. I didn't buy it for games but It's sony and some of the upcoming titles are cool. online games will stay 360.

I think now looking at many different demo's it's pretty close between the 2. Both in HDMI look great. Slight edge so far to the 360. AC I want to get but probably will pick up for 360.

Thanks for all the info so far.

sixaxis is ok.... I have a dual shock 3 on import (cost about $65). Hopefully they will feel a bit more hefty. They better start coming out in the US soon!
