Help on rt2000p subwoofer amp

My son was showboating my rt2000p speakers and he accidentally shorted the golden tabs while trying to drive the sub cabinets separately.
Now the left speaker has a relay that basically clicks continuosly as soon as the amp detects a signal. Everything seems to be working fine, but of course if the volume on the amplifier is turned up the relay constantly kicks in. Bass is almost inaudible.
Is this a quick fix, any "obvious" signs I could look for if I decide to take the sub amp apart?
Thanks!

I'd contact Polk customer service. They can probably fix it for you.
