Ceiling mount fx1000s?

I'm about to embark on ceiling mounting my fx1000s and was wondering if anyone out there had any advice on getting this done. I've wall mounted them before without any problems, but since they will now be on a sloped ceiling I'm going to need something more secure than drywall screws. I don't want it falling on someone's head!
Also, if the speakers are almost directly overhead and to the sides, what would be the best way to position them?
Any ideas? Thanks!

LOL. I think they will look better ceiling mounted than on the wall. I had them on the wall and they looked out of place. I think they'll blend in better on the sloped ceiling. I think SkyNut did something similar with his fx1000s and I thought it looked pretty good.Emotiva LMC pre/pro

I did this but the wife didn't dig the look so I sold off the extra pair and went with inwalls. I used Omnimounts to mount to the ceiling. I found a cross beam and screwed into that for extra support. These are big speakers, so if you don't have 10 ft ceilings, you might want to reconsider.

Go inceiling speakers. Forget this mad Idea. Someone is going to get hurt. They are not designed for ceiling mounting. If you must , pull out the drivers, mark the ceiling jouces and direct lag bolt them in then replace drivers back in. This would be safe and very strong. Do not use any kind of omni mount. Your asking for a trip to the Hospital for no good reason.

She's right. Get yourself a pair of fx-ls and sell those fx-1000 to me .SRT For Life; SDA Forever!

Four main satellite speakers, six powered subs, two dedicated for LFE channel, two center speakers for over/under screen placement and three Control Centers. Amaze your friends, terrorize your neighbors, seize the audio bragging rights for your state. Go ahead, buy it; you only go around once. -
Hah, you all think I'm crazy. So, appeal to my more rational side and please tell me more about inwalls/inceilings. I'll be honest, I'm not thrilled about the size of these things, but is there an alternative speaker out there that will timbre match with the RT3000/C1000 and be more reasonable to ceiling/wall mount?Emotiva LMC pre/pro

I would also go in-wall/in-ceiling before I would hang a 25lb wart on my sloped ceiling.
A surround loudspeaker is easy to integrate, since it isn't as exclusive as the front stage and dialogue loudspeaker(s) in a home theater.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
Are you are suggesting going in-wall/in-ceiling with the fx1000? How would you do that?Emotiva LMC pre/pro

Um, no. I would sell them and go with an in-wall solution.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
Are you running a 5.1 or 7.1 setup?

You got it Esavinon!
Actually, it's not completely out of the realm of possiblities that I sell them. But, I'd need a suitable replacement (timbre matching, performance) for them that is a little more reasonable size wise, and I don't want to lose money in the process.Emotiva LMC pre/pro
