Without breaking it? That tweeter appears to be functioning. It is short a magnet, however.
It's probably cemented in place. If that's the case, you're looking at replacing the whole plate. -
I relise it is short a magnet. I took it out. It just twisted out. I am trying to help somebody out that has some blown tweeters. I just assumed all he needed was the magnet part that twisted out. Wrong. He got them and they didn't work. So now we are assuming that he needs this part? Any way to late it appears you have to break a tab to get them out. I think.:o Anyway thats what I did and from the looks of it he can do the same with his and put the new ones in with some kind of adhesive. Am I way off?

Hello........ Somebody help me. Does this guy need to buy the whole front grill or will what I did work?

I Believe so.. at least I did on my RT55's.. The diaphragm is not field replacable and the entire driver needs to be replaced. I sent my entire baffle to Polk, they replaced the entire unit.

I thought that I just popped out the tweeter when I owned a pair of RT800s, or was it my pair of f/x500i? I'm not sure, but they both have the bezel and I'm sure I just popped it out without breaking the tabs. Either way, the entire drivers most likely will have to be replaced.
