Recommendations for receiver upgrade??

I have a yamaha htr-5760 right now. Goes along with lsi25's,lsic, a few polk satelites soon to be lsifx, and a sunfire amp to go along for the push. What I need to know or do, is see if a differant receiver would compliment the systems sound better. Mostly used for HT, and if you think a different receiver would be more beneficial, I wouldn't mind picking up a used one on ebay or something, as I don't really have to have new, which would allow for some quality at a discount. It just feels like the lsi's are maybe missing something. Thanks for any input........

Before looking to dump your gear, make sure it is set up right, and you play with placement a bit.For me,the yammie doesn't mesh well but thats just me.If you have a 5 or 7 channel amp doing the push, why use a receiver? Go seperate pre/pro,you'll be happier in the long run....and short run for that matter.HT SYSTEM-

What is your budget?
You could always go with a Sunfire pre/pro to match the amp, or other pre/pros like Rotel, B&K, Adcom, etc. If at all possible the next step after your amp purchase would be a good pre/pro, not another receiver.
Also, make sure to give the LSi speakers some time to break in. They'll open and sweeten up after 100-200hrs. -
I just checked out ebay, but I guess it would be best to try and narrow down by make and model. I just saw a sunfire III, if this is what your talking about.

Exactly, or a IV if you can swing it or find a deal on one.... -
I stalked Audiogon for quite some time until I got my Sunfire III prepro. It was well worth the wait. Here is one right here.

What's the difference between this and a receiver... Seem to have the same functions...
I also think I might change my name to jesusquestions. -
There is no internal amp in a pre/pro like there is in a receiver. Since you already have a nice Sunfire amp, you may as well not pay for the amp side, you'll never use it...Unless you want to buy a Sunfire Ultimate Receiver II, and sell your amp (The Ultimate Receiver II has a internal 200X5 and all the functions of the TGIII if I remember correctly)....It's all about space and what you want to spend man, it sounds like you've got the room, so pick up the pre/pro and call it a day.

Anthony likes his Sunfire Receiver, you could sell the amp and just get the Sunfire receiver for a HT set-up. Your powered subs are already taking a big load off your system.

I love my Onkyo 7.1 receiver, lots of good clean power. Have always been a Kenwood man, but times change.

So why do they cost as much if not more than a good reciever??? Is it just better built??? If there are better components, I'm all for it. Like I said at the top, it just seemed as if the lsi's are looking for something, and maybe my current yammi is maybe a little behind in times.
