Well, thanks to the kind folks here on the board who alerted us fellow Polkies on the Fry's sale; I called several Fry's in Texas yesterday and found a pair of LSi 25s in Houston (I'm in San Antonio so about a 3.5 hour drive). While the guy I spoke to told me I couldn't prepay nor would they pull them off to side and hold them, he was willing to call me last night when they closed to confirm they were still there. Sooooo, up at 4 am and on the road by 4:30 to get there by opening (8:00 AM, sheesh what happened to retail stores opening at 10 AM?). Anyway, 8 hours later I'm home with a very nice pair of Cherry LSi 25s for $798 AND a nice pair of Cherry LSi 15s (for my boss who gave me the day off to get them) for $398. They also had a sale on Polk subs ($200 off if you buy a pair of floor standers); so I picked up a DSW Pro 600 for $399. Everything just 'barely' fit and I happily trekked back to San Antonio. Time for a nap and good listen later...

Does anyone know if fry's will ship directly from the store rather than off the website. I really want a set of black rti 10's but they are out of stock online.

Nice grabs and awesome deals! Are you going to use the LSi15's as rear surrounds? If not, want to sell them to a fellow Polkie for a great price? :)

They will only ship if its within 20 miles .. and they dont take credit card orders over the phone... so its pretty much useless...

The only way is if you can find someone here that will BUY + ship for you.

I just called the only Fry's in Oregon, which would be about a 5 hr round trip. All he could find in their inventory were the LSi-7's. Just out of curiosity I asked him how much and he said $49.99 apiece. Damn...that can't possibly be right can it?

I-10 turned into a parking lot just west of Hwy 6, so I turned off on 6 and went east to West Bellfort which took me straight there. Actually, ended up quicker than staying on I-10 to Sam Houston Tollway. Man, I'll never complain about San Antonio traffic again...

Probably take a bit of time to break in. I have them up and running now and need to get used to their sound and make the appropriate adjustments to the sub. Should be fun...

Its just amazing how Frys pushed the Lsi15/25's out at these prices, its stupid! To all those that got in on the deal, no one anywhere could beat that. If this happened several years back, would have bought a set for every room in the house!

    That is truly unbelievable!
I still have very fond memories of my LSi25 audition a few years back. Back then I was surprised to find that I preferred them to the $3K/4K Martin Logans; that was really my first eye-opening (and jaw dropping) speaker audition. I know many prefer the LSi15, but having owned the LSi15 for over a year, I would trade them in a heartbeat for the 25's. I say they are definitely worth the drive you made!

I would have loved to have had a chance at such a deal back then. Would've saved me at least a few upgrade cycles and a ton of cash, time, & pain. Treat them right and I know they will return the favor :)

I got a set of cherry 15s for the same $398 plus tax. I wish they would have had the Lsi C on that kind of discount. I was able to get one on line for $359, best price I could find anywhere.
