Hey guys I was wondering if any of you had this problem, when watching a standard dvd on the ps3 it only plays the movie in 4.3.I've gone through all the settings on TV and console. When I put the same movie into the 360 console it plays wide screen or full.Am I doing something wrong?

Can you give us how your ps3 is hooked up? Under display setting make sure it is set to letterbox.
Thats the only thing I can say to help you.
Also while the movie is playing push the triangle button to see if you can adjust the settings that way also. -
Thanks avalanche, that was it.I've never played a standard on the ps3 until now, thought I'd try it out.Pic isn't that great,or should I say I'm having a hell of a time watching my standards anymore after being baptised in the HD waters.LG 50 in. Plasma

It's your eyes. I have a really hard time watching some of the SD discs with the quality I have gotten used to with the Blu-Ray and HD DVD movies. -
Hey Demi did you keep all of your SD movies?I'm thinking of selling all mine and using the proceeds for the blue ray collection I've yet to buy.I have a small but good SD collection,I just can't hardly watch them anymore though,it's like trying to watch football on regular TV now instead of in HD on cable.Just not gonna happen!LG 50 in. Was your movie a Widescreen or a Full screen? This could be the problem. Full screen movies will output in 4:3.
